How cleaning companies get clients: a 90-day plan
How your buyer buys: Modest price, bought again and again. Retention is the whole economics. Straddles repeat-local and b2b-practice. Domestic rounds buy like repeat local, so the plan is written for them. Commercial contracts (offices, lettings, managed blocks) are bought like a B2B practice, where cold email to limited companies and screened calls become lawful options.
A household looking for a cleaner wants a price tonight and a start next week. They ask the town Facebook group, search for a cleaner near them, and open three sites. The one with a quote form that asks bedrooms, bathrooms and frequency and shows a price on screen gets the booking. The one that says call for a quote gets nothing.
What they are buying is the round: the same cleaner, the same day, every week or fortnight. Price bands by bedrooms and bathrooms, a night-before text with the arrival window, and payment collected by direct debit make the round easy to join and easy to keep. One-off deep cleans and end of tenancy jobs feed it, and letting agents send those.
So the quote form, the reminders and the round plan come first, since they turn an enquiry into a standing booking. Then the profile, the reviews and the published bands, so the search traffic lands on a price. Then the rebooking offer at the end of every one-off clean, the Facebook group replies, and two letting agents for the end of tenancy work. Offices and managed blocks are a different buyer, bought like a business contract, and sit outside this plan.
The free checklist, before the plan.
The checklist repairs what you already have: the phone, the profile, the booking path. This page is the plan for new work on top of it, and the two are different jobs.

Where your customers actually look.
Google Business Profile(opens in a new tab)
Cleaner near me is a map pack search. The category House Cleaning Service, the price bands in the description, and oven, shower and carpet photos each month decide who gets the first click.
Local Facebook groups
Can anyone recommend a cleaner is asked in every town group weekly. Reply with the streets you already cover, the day you are there and the price band, and ask regulars to tag you.
Nextdoor(opens in a new tab)
The same question asked by neighbours on named streets. A business page and a few replies put your round in front of the households next door to clients you already have.
Bark(opens in a new tab)
A lead marketplace for one-off and regular cleans. Pay per lead, reply within minutes, and keep a running cost per round won so you know when to stop.
Yell(opens in a new tab)
Still read by older households and still indexed by Google. A free listing with the same name, number and area as your profile is enough.
Letting agents
Every tenancy that ends needs a clean within days. Two branches that know your end of tenancy price and your turnaround send that work all year, and each tenant moving in is offered a round.
When the phone rings, and when to start.
Regular rounds run all year; one-off deep cleans rise in spring and before Christmas, and August holidays thin the round.

- Aug: quiet

- Oct
- Nov
- Dec: peak, start the visibility work
Amber months are the peak, grey months are quiet, and "start" marks the month the visibility work has to begin in.
- March to April peak: start by December, because local search takes about three months to move.
- December peak: start by September, because local search takes about three months to move.
Regular rounds run all year, which is the point of selling them. One-off work has two lifts: spring deep cleans in March and April, and the oven and pre-Christmas cleans in December. Allow three months for the profile and the pages to move, so the push for spring starts in December and the push for December starts in September. August thins the round, because clients go away, so it is the month to message past one-off clients and to fill the gaps with end of tenancy work from the letting agents. The due-again messages follow the same calendar: the spring deep clean, the oven before Christmas, and the landlord when a tenancy ends.
Four phases, in the order that pays back fastest.
Each step names its channel, its cost band from the technique register, the effort it takes, and how long until the first enquiry or booking.

What doing nothing costs cleaning companies.
The leaks below are the ones the cleaning companies page already names. Put a figure on each, see what the fix gets back a month, and how many weeks the kit or the bundle takes to pay for itself.
Industry-typical ranges for a domestic cleaning company: a first clean priced by the hour at a few hours, about half of quoted households going ahead, and a fortnightly round that gives roughly twenty further visits a year.
Every number below is prefilled from that estimate and editable. Put your own figures in and the leaks, gains and payback recalculate as you type.

The levers that carry the most weight here.
For a cleaning company four steps carry the plan. The quote form that prices bedrooms, bathrooms and frequency on screen and ends in a booking, because the household wants the price tonight. The round itself, one price collected by direct debit, since a standing fortnightly booking is worth more than any number of one-offs. Published bands on the site, in the profile and on their own end of tenancy and deep clean pages, so nobody has to ring for a figure. And letting agent partnerships, two branches and a removals firm, for the end of tenancy work that feeds the rounds. Leaflets on the streets you already clean come later, naming the day you are there.
